Share your stories!  Be a part of A Host of People’s new show Neither There, Nor Here!

Detroit-based theater company A Host of People is creating a new work called Neither There, Nor Here, an original, multimedia, interdisciplinary memory play-meets-cooking show focusing on, and featuring, people that identify as mixed, non-binary, multiple, or in-between -- whether in terms of race, nationality, gender, sexuality, culture or any mixed up combination.

We are looking for a few more personal stories to add to our mix in the show as short pre-recorded video interviews. Here is what we are looking for:

  • People who identify as mixed, multiple, non-binary, or in-between in any way.

  • We are looking to expand the diversity of ages currently represented in the piece. We are seeking stories from teens or younger and individuals 50 years or better.

  • Must be comfortable talking about their identity on camera and a willingness to include it in the performance both at N’Namdi Contemporary Arts Center during Dlectricity (Sept 22 & 23, 2017) and during the run of the show at Light Box in January/February, 2018 and any subsequent shows (participants will have final approval of their content).

We will provide a $50.00 stipend to any person we interview and will provide an additional $100.00 if any portion of the interview is selected to be in the show.

Interested?  Email Sherrine Azab at sherrine@ahostofpeople.org and tell us a little bit about yourself, especially how you fit the above description.  Feel free to pass it on!
